Bachelor Pass (degree admission), Diploma Pass (diploma programmes), Higher Certificate Pass (certificate courses). Each has different subject percentage requirements.
Home language 40%+, Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) 50%+, and 4 subjects at 50%+ (excluding Life Orientation). This gives access to degree programmes at all South African universities.
Yes. Supplementary exams are offered in January/February. You can also rewrite subjects through the November Senior Certificate examinations (for adults) to improve your pass type or upgrade for university entry.
No. Mathematical Literacy cannot be used to qualify for a Bachelor Pass. You need Mathematics (the full paper) at 50%+ for a Bachelor Pass.
